How do people usually get support at the moment?

Social Services Departments have to arrange care services for people.

People with learning disabilities do not always like these services, but they have to use them if they want support.

The money that Social Services spends comes from the Council (Local Authority). It does not always buy people the kind of services they want.

Sometimes Social Services provide the services themselves. Sometimes they pay other organisations to provide them.

The people using services cannot usually choose who they want to provide their support. They cannot choose where they want the support to be provided.
